If you are working in this kind of field. It might be very easy for you to use some technical terms related to your field of work. Sometimes, you are explaining something that might sound normal to you but not for others. Professional and experts SEO would be able to give all the details to their clients but it would be very hard for the customer to digest all the terms and processes that they are explaining. A good example of this is the Search Engine Optimization or it is called as SEO in short, many would easily think about the main definition of it. But behind this simple logic, there are a lot of rules and processes that you might consider the website. If you have a client next time and you want to explain it simpler and better ways. You might want to make this one as your guideline and outline in order for others to understand you better.

  1. We should not assume that everyone knows about interne. Yes, they can define you the meaning of the internet but they can’t go deeper to that especially to the functions. If you are going to explain and tell them the history and usage of the internet. They could have some knowledge about understanding it. You will know if they can get along to what you are saying. Tell them about some technical terms that are often use by many people in this kind of work. You can share to them about the different kinds of blogs or the differences between a blog and a website. If the person that you are talking with is skillful enough about this one. Then, you can dig a bit deeper to give them more reliable information.  
  2. Of course, there will be a time that how much you explain to them harder. They might not be able to understand things quickly. Different people could have different kinds of ways and learning style when it comes to acquiring new knowledge and learning. There are many people that they can be about visualizing things. It means that you have to show to them the process before they can understand it. You need to give them a picture of what you are talking about by using a real one model to the concept. There are some that they are more in the verbal learning style. It is easy for them to get the idea even without a proper model but by using the information that they heard.  
  3. When you are explaining things, you have to do it step by step. Don’t jump from one topic to another as it may result to confusion for others. It would be better to get them to understand the first part before you move or jump to another topic.  
  4. Tell them and give them the idea about the common acronym being used. You can show to them what it looks like and let them digest first before you talk about another thing.
