How to Expect from Microblading

Microblading is such a popular eyebrow enhancing technique that’s been tried and tested by a lot of people. But how do you make it work for you? Start by finding an aesthetic center which expertise is providing this service. They should be able to provide you with the best results.

But to really make it work, you have to know the basics of the process. For starters, microblading uses a very small, pen-like device that has up to 12 needles on one end. The needles would scrape the surface of the skin to let the pigment through.

How Your Brow Will Look Like

Before you go out there for microblading, you must at least have an idea of what kind of brow you want. You’re free to bring in as many images of the styles of brows that you like. A consultation with an aesthetic technician will enlighten you with the best design that matches the symmetry of your face and all your facial features.

Some people would get the darker shades but it’s always best if you go for the more natural hues. If it doesn’t work out with a lighter shade for you, you can always top up the shade in another session. You can’t do the same if you started with something dark right away. Another good way to decide is to base the shade of your eyebrow based on the color of your hair.

The Microblading Process

The process of microblading won’t take you more than two hours. Its effects, on the other hand, will last you up to 18 months. The pigment’s longevity will depend on your skin type. If your skin is oily, then you’ll need to top up before the year ends. People with normal skin will have the effects of microblading last for 18 months.

If you don’t top up after 18 months, then your brows will fade away. But don’t worry. There won’t be any scaring or discoloration that will be evident on your skin. It’s best to get your eyebrows done again before the pigment is gone.

Will It Hurt?

Microblading doesn’t really hurt much but you’ll feel a slight sensation every time the needles touch your skin. It’s not really painful but a numbing ointment is applied to the area. You might hear the small scratching sounds of the blade but that’s usually all there is to it.

If for some reason, you don’t like the result on your eyebrow, you can use a salt solution to remove the pigment. But then, it’s also important to note that the shade of your eyebrows won’t be as dark as it is 10 days after the process. If you don’t like it because it’s too dark, wait two weeks before deciding if you want to remove it or not.
